Welcome to the latest very special issue of AM Magazine, the first in our centenary year. We are celebrating this with a special section which will run throughout the year, looking at our history in the context of wider events over the past 100 years.

We begin with a study of how our cars have reflected trends in design and architecture, and the role Aston Martin in particular, played in the 1960s rock ‘n’ roll revolution.

Our cover story is an interview with Sir Stirling Moss, one of the greatest racing drivers of all time, who memorably drove the DBR1 to victory at the Nürburgring in 1958 and 1959. He sat down with current Aston Martin Works Driver Darren Turner to look back over his legendary career, from one racer to another.

We take a V12 Zagato back to its roots, travelling from London to Paris and onto Milan in search of the perfectly tailored gentleman’s suit, while the new Rapide S is the focus of our high-tech studio production.

We also have an exclusive interview with fashion designer Anya Hindmarch on the future of luxury, a fabulous photostory illustrating Captain Scott’s ill-fated journey to the South Pole a century ago and portraits of some of the highly skilled craftspeople at Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell.
