The ever-popular event at St Moritz in Switzerland was attended by 200 guests this year. Showcasing the electronic safety system of the Aston Martin, the event offered the chance to test out the full range of models—the Vanquish, Rapide, Vantage, Vantage S, DB9, DB9 Volante and V12 Roadster— on ice and snow.
Aston Martin’s “The Big Five” is a series of events for owners and their friends and family to drive their cars around some of Europe’s most famous racetracks, enjoying the ultimate experience of excitement, passion and speed. Each event has been designed for enthusiasts to experience the dynamic capabilities of their Aston Martin in an exclusive, controlled and safe environment. Getting ready to put an Aston Martin through its paces at the Nürburgring Track Day
Over 50 guests attended the fourth track day at the Nürburgring in May, enjoying dinner and a guided tour of the Aston Martin Test Centre. The next morning, they were split into driving groups according to experience, and went on to enjoy perfect conditions in the morning with rain after lunch.
As part of Aston Martin’s centenary celebrations, a special collection of cars was taken on tour in Europe from April to June. The spectacular line-up consisted of the Vanquish (the ultimate GT and 2013 flagship model of the brand), the A3 from 1921 (the oldest Aston Martin in existence), and the iconic DB5, which was first built in 1963. The three cars called in at 19 Aston Martin dealerships in eight countries and featured in showrooms and exclusive customer events.

Aston Martin celebrated a century of automotive achievement at the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show in March with cars both from its illustrious past and its exciting future. Pride of place was reserved for the latest luxurious addition to the now fully replaced or refreshed sports car range—the forthcoming Rapide S.
Elsewhere on the stand at Geneva, Aston Martin’s ultimate Super GT, the new Vanquish, showcased a painstakingly created Centenary Edition specification that is available worldwide on only 100 examples of each of the car maker’s model lines: Vantage, DB9, Vanquish and Rapide S. Also on display to commemorate the Centenary year was one of the most legendary cars created—the Aston Martin DBR1/1. Celebrated around the world, the car won the gruelling 1000km of Nürburgring in 1959 piloted by Stirling Moss and Jack Brabham.
Ahead of the show in Switzerland, Dr Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin, said: “2013 is a celebration of the Aston Martin brand and its achievement as being seen as ‘Best of British’.” At the end of the press conference, a special birthday cake was produced, resplendent with Aston Martin’s Centenary logo, which Dr Bez shared with the media after blowing out the candles.
Aston Martin Denmark, in the capital city of Copenhagen, has completely refurbished its customer showroom centre. It can showcase a wider selection of the Aston Martin range and has created the ideal meeting place for customers and enthusiasts. The new sales area is now able to accommodate three cars in total. In honour of the event, the new Aston Martin Vanquish and Aston Martin DB9 Volante, as well as the Aston Martin V12 Black Carbon Special Edition, will be on display.

Official Aston Martin dealer partner Cito Motors recently reopened its showroom in Eindhoven, Netherlands. More than 250 guests attended, admiring the new Aston Martin Vanquish, Rapide S and V8 Vantage S. A band entertained everyone while food and drink were served along with champagne.
Aston Martin has been welcomed into the rental fleet of Sixt Luxury Cars in Germany, Switzerland, France and Spain. The company now features the following Aston Martin models: DB9 Coupe and DB9 Volante (convertible), the four-door Rapide, Vanquish, V8 Vantage Coupe and Roadster, as well as the V12 Vantage, at locations across the continent, including Munich, Berlin, Bonn, Geneva, Zurich, Paris, Cannes and Marbella.
