Welcome to the latest issue of AM Magazine, the second in this landmark year for Aston Martin. Now also available as an iPad app to download, we continue our celebration of the marque’s 100th birthday with a look at its rich motor-racing heritage, which is as strong as ever, as well as a study of the history of fast cars in Hollywood films.

Our cover story showcases some of the striking colours available in the bespoke Q range, with the eye-catching photography of studio artist Matthew Donaldson. We also have an exclusive photo shoot with the new CC100—inspired by the classic DBR1— which made its debut at the Nürburgring last month.

This issue has an international flavour, befitting Aston Martin’s status as a successful worldwide brand. We travel to Brazil in search of the world’s best coffee (produced with its very own secret ingredient), photograph Argentine polo player Eduardo Novillo Astrada in Florida, where he was competing in the US Open, and sit down with German-born architect Ole Scheeren in Beijing, the city in which he is best-known for his spectacular CCTV building. And, finally, we take the new Rapide S up into the Pyrenees mountains, where we master some of the hill climbs made famous in the Tour de France in the luxury and comfort of the world’s most beautiful four-door sports car.

I hope you enjoy the magazine.
